Radical

Radical can mean different things to different people.

Growing up during the 60s I heard a lot about radicals. Patty Hearst. Jerry Rubin. Abby Hoffman. Tom Hayden. Charles Manson (evil). Frankly, not a good group to be aligned with.

But what if “Radical” could mean a good thing?

What if being a radical meant making a difference in someone’s life?

What if being radical means being changed?

It can. It does. Jesus does that for those who come to Him.

Since this is a holiday I have taken it fairly easy. I went to the office to study and work on a sermon. I was to ride with someone at 9:00 but he was unable to, so I rode 24 miles by myself. Then I spent the rest of the day enjoying being with Jo. We ate lunch, looked at houses (again)*, went to the hospital to visit someone and then came home to relax the rest of the evening. To be honest, I don’t feel like being real deep at this point tonight. So while I was surfing YouTube I found this new song by Disciple. I know it is not many hardly any of your cup of tea.

But the lyrics!  WOW!

There is no question where Disciple stands. And this could should be the anthem of everyone of us who are Christ-followers. If you don’t like the music, mute it and read the lyrics as they appear.

I am betting you will understand their import.

* Yep, we have been approached again about selling our house. The last time the repo was sold to someone else. That leaves two houses left-mine and the other one. So…we should find out the realtor said by this Friday about the outcome.
