Want to scare some people? Out of their wits? Out of their comfort zone?

TALK ABOUT CHANGE!!

That one word scares the heebie-jeebies out of more people than any scary movie ever did or will.

Here it is again:

C-H-A-N-G-E

Some involuntary shivering just took place. I can sense it. 🙂

Webster defines change as “to make or become different and to become different or replace with another.” I think if we are honest we all have thought “I need to change this or that.”

Change, both good and bad, is a part of life.

A wife says to her husband, “If you don’t change, I’m leaving.”

A doctor says to his patient, “If you don’t change, you’re going to die.”  (Sort of ironic since we already know that)

A financial planner says to his client, “If you don’t change, you’ll run out of money.”

A parent says to a child, “If you don’t change, you will not drive.”

This month of sermons from Mark are on Change. This particular Sunday’s message is on the four fishermen-Peter, Andrew, James and John-and also Matthew. All their lives came down to one moment, one Call, with the words, “Follow Me.” I’m sure none of them had any clue what kind of changes their lives would be in for.

Every sermon will be leading to our 10th Anniversary celebration on the 26th.

How do you handle change?
