Chew

Chew on this some. Jo read it to me first and I asked her to email it to me. It is from Ann Voskamp:

I don’t have much to say or to add. I’d just like for you to chew on this for awhile. Then if you care, I’d love to hear your thoughts on it.  And sorry I couldn’t edit out the header and junk at the bottom.

Love this part…grace is what holds you when everything’s breaking and falling apart and whispers that everything is really falling together. You just gave me the quote for my facebook tomorrow morning. That is good stuff, goes deep into the bone of our soul and rest so we can line upon line yearn for a deeper walk with grace. Excellent post brother, thank Jo for this.

  2. I’m with Betty on this quote, Bill. Grace is the glue binding us close and closer to God. My post tomorrow is also about grace. How perfectly God-incidental!
    Blessings!

  3. Ed says:

“Grace is grace when it gives us what we’d never ask for but always needed, and moves us to become what we’ve always wanted. But hardly ever the way we wanted.”

What a lovely and true statement about grace!

When Ann speaks, I listen. Her devotional books have been especially dear to me.

Thanks to Jo for sharing with us here!

I have her 1000 Gifts book here and have been looking for a lady to give it to. Maybe I will read it myself. 🙂 And I will tell her you said thanks.

    Very well and wisely stated.

  6. Nicely said. I’ve been experiencing some of this “hovering” lately and I’m so grateful. Hope is essential. Grace is essential. I’m nothing without it! Thanks Bill.
