Link Love

Written by cycleguy on February 3rd, 2009

It has been awhile since I passed along some link love and feel it is long overdue.  So here are some links that I think you ought to check out:

I have several new links on my blogroll that I think will be worth your while to at least give a look.  A fellow cyclist whose blog on the misuse of Scripture is top-notch can be found here. Another young man who is a cyclist but also has a creative mind is here. One fellow from the UK commented a time or two on my blog awhile back and then sort of disappeared.  He has reemerged with a blog of his own and you can find it here.  One that I am sure many of you already read but is new to mine is here. In fact, this post by him is a heart-breaker.  He also just wrote one of the most powerful blogs I have read in a long time here.

Several others have been on my blogroll for weeks, maybe a month, and they both have some different thoughts to share.  This one here is a die-hard Steeler fan but with the Super Bowl over will probably settle down.  :)   He has a new topic for everyday.   This young lady attends a new church and brings some good thoughts to the table.

The good man who has this blog needs your prayers for a dramatic life-change that he and his family will have to make.  This one also has requested prayer for he and his wife and a life-change. This fellow blogger is having a tough time selling his house.  Say a prayer for him.  And, of course, this new mom would appreciate any prayers you can give her.

And last, but certainly not least, some blogs that definitely made me think:

You will be hard-pressed to find one who writes with more (com)passion than this lady, whom I have come to appreciate for her “dangerous” prayers said for me daily.

This one puts extravagance and selfishness to the test.

This one shows how painful it is sometimes to be a leader who must make tough choices.  Same song same place for this one.

If you are a pastor you will not find a better set of posts on when to stay and when to go than you will find starting with this one.  There are four to this series.

I have people on my blogroll because I enjoy their blogs, they are friends, or both.  I appreciate it when they have been kind enough to include me in their blogroll and hope this will alert you to some to check out.  This list is not in any way, shape or form to be taken as the “last word” of importance.  I am deeply indebted to Heidi for telling me about Google Reader.  It has made my blogging so much easier, especially when checking up on blogs.  I no longer have to go through every blog to see if something new has been posted.  It has saved me tons of time.   Enjoy the links.

I have always enjoyed your blog. When I like someone’s thinking and writing I enjoy checking out their blogroll. That is usually how I find new blogs to follow. How very kind of you to mention your friends and put in a good word for us. I checked out google reader, but I don’t think I will use it for my blogroll blogs, I like looking thru everyones blogs, so I might use reader for things/blogs that I follow but don’t comment on. Like some health websites.

Thanks for the love, just in time for Valentines Day.. almost

    Dear Bill

    Thanks for the link love!

I am still trying to make my way through Heidi’s award list, and now this, A-and wordpress.com finds me auto-links. And occasionally Real Life intervenes.

    Google Reader, huh? Hm …
