The plan is to take a Sunday evening and attend this church in Terre Haute.

The next plan is take Monday and goof off and have no plan while spending the day with Jo.  I think we might see The Bourne Legacy.  We like the Bourne Trilogy with Matt Damon so I reckon we will check this one out.  🙂

All the to say:

MY POST TODAY WILL BE SIMPLE:

“The memory of the righteous is a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.”  Pr.10:7  Gives new meaning words like “legacy” and “reputation” and “tombstone markings.”

If you get a chance, please check out these posts:

A couple of weeks ago I was browsing the music section of a Christian bookstore and came across a CD.  I have never heard of the band but it caught my eye.  I did the “15 second listen thing” and walked away.  One day later I bought it.  Here is the one song that keeps playing in my head (and you know how annoying good that can be).  This is a good CD.  Give it a listen.

Now you:  Have you seen Bourne Legacy?  Any thoughts?  Any links I ought to read?  Any new music I should listen to?  I will not have much time to comment but will approve from my phone.  Have a great week.

    Hi Bill,
When mercy found me!! So wonderful!

I think when we see what Rhett Walker is singing about, we see that Jesus is real! Amazing, what God does with a life.

If ever we need to acknowledge and adore God and worship Him is when we know that mercy found us, and we are astonished and amazed.

God, you looked down at me? you saw me? You bestowed your kindnesses upon me?

We need to ignore the naysayers Bill. God is real. God makes us whole. I’ve seen this firsthand in the life of my former husband. He’s lost his first love, but hopefully he’s not lost. This is his song. “In one moment everything changed”

The song says “Who I was got washed away”. I think we believers don’t realize what God did for us when he saved us. We’re no longer the Bill Grandi and the Linda Mew that we used to be.

We’re new creations, made by God, destined for greatness so to speak.
“Broken roads, but His grace is all I need”, the song says.

I love the picture in the video of the man who is sitting and holding his Bible. We’re looking for these men and women. So is God.

“All those days and all those doubts, they don’t seem to matter now” the song says. We start anew with God. Oh my, such marvelousness!

Keep going Bill, I will keep going too.

    Hi Bill,
Something that I have been noticing since I have been trying to get to a church service on Sunday now, is that my desire to read the Bible has diminished.

I haven’t made it to church for the last couple of weeks, and my desire to read the Bible has increased again.

I don’t know why this seems to be so. But it’s troubling to me. Somehow I think that the church as we know it in North America has run its course.

The churches are just not seeing what we should be seeing as Rhett Walker sings about. It’s happening, but very little it seems. This is troubling too. The churches don’t seem to be able to bring people to experience salvation or to grow in Christ.

Theatre style churches are ineffective in today’s world. ‘Something had to give’ when the crisis point was reached, as the song says.

We are seeing total upset in the whole world right now. Riots and protests, financial collapse and ruin, wars and rumors of war, many, many earthquakes, disasters and so on.

I think that we are fast approaching a major crisis point, perhaps we are already in a crisis. This means change for the church too. Church leadership needs to be thinking about moving toward change.

Because of the ineffectiveness, we should be looking to do church another way. This is not a condemnation on leaders. This I believe is a situation where God is moving and changing things up. Just as he did when Jesus Christ came on the scene as a grown man. This event changed things for believers. A new way to worship God was the result.

Just some thoughts from me Bill. Have a good week. God Bless you.
