I have thoroughly enjoyed the series I have been running the past couple of weeks on Second Chances. I will be posting my last one Wednesday night at 8:00 and it will run all day Thursday. It is the last one if, and only if, I get no one else willing to write one. ๐ I asked for volunteers and I even contacted a few. Those whom you have read have been a mixture of both.
What is evident is each story is unique to the individual. When I finally wrap up this series, I plan to highlight each post with a small recap of one or two words to show how each of us have a story and how we reach different people because of it.
BUT I MAKE THAT OFFER AGAIN. I WOULD LOVE TO ADD YOUR SECOND CHANCE STORY (WHETHER IT BE BIG OR SMALL) TO MY SERIES. PLEASE EMAIL ME TO TELL ME YOU WILL DO IT AND I WILL EXTEND IT.ย
I do have one I am waiting on but he warned me it would take him awhile. ๐
One major good thing has come out of it: Kari, who posted here and told about her bout with depression and God’s second chance, has agreed to follow up for me with a series of at least 4 posts on depression, anxiety, and related items. We are going to do it like a Q&A. Because of commitments she has in writing, it will begin the week of June 16th.
I hope you have enjoyed the series.
Now…are you willing to write a post? ๐
Please let me know.
How has the series helped you?
I have enjoyed the series. I like turn around stories. Be they businesses or individuals. I think what can be said is “You can’t keep doing what you are doing if it isn’t working out”
While the Jesus thing doesn’t make sense to me I am all for whatever someone else finds that makes a difference.
Good luck to you all.
Glad you enjoyed it Jeff. I think turn around stories are “good for the soul” so to speak. They give us hope.
This may seem silly, but sometimes I find it easy to dismiss the problems that others have in their lives with statements like “they have everything they could want in their lives” or “they may have some problems, but nothing like the ones that I have experienced”. Yet when you are given an opportunity to look past that veil of crap, you see that you are not alone.
Absolutely! It is easy to focus on ourselves way too much. I’m glad your take away was this Daniel. It is a good one.
I’m willing, Bill – just didn’t think you needed any more takes on the subject. ๐
I’d love to hear yours Rick. So would others. ๐
I’ve loved being able to see sides of these commenters that I normally wouldn’t.
I would have loved to hear one of your stories Larry. Hint hint. ๐
Bill, I could have you one next week.
That would be fantastic! Thanks.
Bill, I going to see if Ace will allow me to write his second chance story. It was turning point, a second chance for our marriage too. I love the picture these stories have given the God we worship and serve. They make Him approachable for each one is filled with His grace.
Sent you a personal email but will also publicly embarrass you. j/k. ๐ I would love it if Ace would allow you to write his second Chance story. That would be fantastic!
It’s been good, Bill. We all have stories and they all point to sovereignty of God and His love, mercy, and grace. Knowing we’re all running a similar race helps us encourage one another a long. Good call.
Thanks Floyd. it always helps knowing others go through the same struggles we do (even though we know it is nice to see it in print).
Thanks again for having me, Bill. I couldn’t agree with this…each of us have a story and we reach different people because of it.”
It was a tremendous pleasure having you Eileen. I deeply appreciate your willingness to tell your story.
I’ve really enjoyed this series. It’s awesome to see how God makes beautiful things out of anything.
Glad to hear that TC. i can read all day about what God makes beautiful out of ashes.
I enjoyed this series as well. It gives some hope as I meddle my way through my own wet fog …
Couldn’t agree more.
